The small cetaceans observed during the all year are the Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis), the Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) and the Harbour Porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). But it`s also possible to observe other species such as the Risso`s Dolphin (Grampus griseus), the Striped Dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba) and the Orca (Orcinus orca).
Occasionally we can observe the whales in their migratory route, the most frequent species and whose sightings increased since 2012 are the Minke Whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) and the Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus).

The marine life in Sagres coast offers a huge diversity of species, such as: Moonfish (Mola mola), Hammerhead Shark (Sphyrna sp), Blue Shark (Prionace glauca), Basking Shark (Cetorhinus maximus), Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta) and several species of pelagic fish.

All our activities are aimed to whole family. However, this specific Dolphin Watching Tour isn`t suitable for children under 3 years-old, pregnant women, people with health problems (bone or spine problems) or recent surgery. Feel free to speak with our team.
